About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, Internal Review and Audit Compliance Office, Rock Island, IL.
Duties
Coordination to resolve differing opinions, or to coordinate decisions of major importance.
Evaluating and integrating the work of others into cohesive final work products to reflect the organization’s position on a wide variety of management and mission-related issues.
Researching regulations and policies to determine requirements.
Communicating with management a lack of internal controls in their procedures and can effectively suggest improvements and gain concurrence with management.
Collaborate with senior leaders to identify problem areas, develop solutions, and identify subject matter experts.
Negotiate with external audit agencies to accept or reject tentative findings and recommendations to find mutually acceptable solutions.
Adjusts resolutions due to unanticipated events.
Identifies and relates risks, controls, adverse events and impacts on operations.
Analyzes problem areas, develops solutions, and identifies subject matter experts to overcome obstacles developing replies to external audit agencies findings and recommendations.
Identifies organizational duties, initiates actions to accomplish tasks, monitors progress and evaluates outcomes of efforts.
Assessing implementation of agreed upon recommendations and determining if those actions prevented re-occurrence of cited deficiencies in the short and long term.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
- Temporary Duty Travel of 10% may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience at the next lower grade (GS 12), which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Analyze audit findings for applicability and action; Communicate to Command Leadership on audit status, findings and/or recommendations; and Prepare Command audit replies and memorandums for leadership and higher headquarters approval. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
