Duties

You will direct participation in the development of requirements, technical processes for Test + Evaluation. You will monitor and advocate compliance with Test + Evaluation requirements, policies, and procedures within the design and implementation of all associated programs. You will facilitate resolution of technical issues and disagreements and escalate unresolved issues to the Chief Engineer and Technical Authority chain of command for resolution. You will address safety and reliability in technical documentation. You will develop, maintain and publish Test + Evaluation (T+E) measures and metrics to keep leadership appraised of the status of T+E efforts.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Generally, current federal employees applying for APS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Highly experienced using modern testing methodologies (to include test automation) in the test and evaluation (T&E) of Information Technology (IT), National Security Systems (NSS), Defense Business Systems and associated software applications. Direct the performance of T&E planning, execution, data analysis and reporting at the enterprise level.
