Duties
Review work orders prepared and issued by planner estimators and project managers from the CMMS System which consists of Maximo and Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS).
Validate and/or develops material indicated on job orders or material lists, to be sure that it is complete and correct for the work to be done.
Advise the maintenance scheduler/work leader that material is either available at the station or has been ordered, and gives approximate delivery dates so that the work may be scheduled.
Arrange for return of plans and unused material after completion of the work.
Coordinate and maintain liaison with users of facilities, requestors, contractors, subcontractors, etc., to gather information, furnish advice and assistance, or effect mutual accord on scheduling, plans, specifications, and contracts.
Requirements
- Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Shop Planner ~ without more than normal supervision. Reviewing work orders prepared and issued by planner estimators and project managers; review preventative maintenance inspection reports to determine required repair work; determine material and tools needed. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work requires considerable walking, standing, climbing, and crawling. Lifts and carries moderately heavy equipment, such as ladders (25-80 pounds).
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed inside and outside during all seasons of the year, under all weather conditions. May work underneath buildings or in other close, poorly ventilated, and humid areas, such as attics. There is danger of injury from falls off ladders and roofs. Subject to cuts and bruises during the course of estimating.
