You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (DATAMGT) of NAVSUP BUSINESS SYSTEMS CENTER OMN.

Duties

You will lead data and application analysis efforts associated with business modeling, data modeling, data warehouse management, and data administration. You will produce and maintain Business Process Models that often involve application with many programs, extensive intra and/or inter program interactions. You will research the capabilities of various COTS packages to fulfill functional needs and participate in the final selection of packages. You will deal with senior management and technical representatives from both the government and private sectors in responding to proposed projects and project changes.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Maintaining enterprise-level databases using a database management system to meet current and future business requirements of the user community; 2. Assessing new databases technologies to determine compatibility with customer requirements; 3. Determining data requirements necessary to develop, modify, or use data management systems; 4. Determining data requirements necessary to develop, modify, or use data management systems; 5. Providing project management recommendations on data center requirements for database development projects.
