You will serve as a VICTIM WITNESS PROGRAM COORDINATOR (OA) in the LEGAL SERVICES SUPPORT SECTION of MARINE CORPS BASE.
Duties
You will produce and distributes required VWAP forms to eligible victims/witnesses pertaining to victims and witness rights.
You will be responsible for the VWAP forms that provide victim/witness information about their rights during a court-martial and after the court-marital is completed.
You will receive all civilian and military witness requests from trial and defense counsel and facilitates their appearance at courts-martial, pretrial hearings, and BOI’s.
You will create and processes a temporary alternate duty request for the witness whether the witness is in the military or a civilian.
You will arrange hotel reservations if needed for witnesses. Contacts a hotel on base or off base; makes reservations; and provides the reservation number for reference to the witness.
You will use the DTS to complete the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) form with the witness bank account routing number, account number, and type of account.
You will draft subpoenas for witnesses and subpoenas for the production of documents, records and other items.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-05) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in administrative and clerical rules, practices and procedures applicable to the processing of forms; knowledge of specialized terminology to include military, legal, scientific and technical terms and phrases peculiar to specialized fields. In addition to knowledge of the administration of Military Justice to be able to identify situations where there may be incomplete or conflicting data and/or documents and identify cases where there are unusual circumstances and/or actions needed.
