About the Position: This position is located in the Facilities Management Department, Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, N.C. The purpose of this position is to provide quality Facilities Maintenance/ Management Services to the Naval Hospital, two BEQ's, Facilities Management Building to include all buildings and storage areas lying within the Naval Hospital Complex. This includes maintaining all medical facilities functions within 31 outlying clinics.

Duties

Receive and process routine/emergency service calls. Maintain safety inspections. Update/track work orders. Coordinate with shops to ensure work orders are completed. Prepare and schedule weekly, the work to be performed by each work center based on information.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • A pre-placement medical examination is required.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 20 pounds is required.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalComputer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
