Duties
Serve as a Team Leader by identifying, distributing, assigning, and balancing workload/tasks amongst employees.
Monitor and intercede with the status and progress of assigned work on a daily basis.
Conduct budget formulation procedures and processes, budget estimates, and create special reports.
Execute an assigned segment of the Air Force budget as authorized and appropriated by Congress.
Use automated budgetary systems and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgetary assignments.
Serve as a financial advisor to management regarding topics such as budget strategies, program priorities, financial forecasts, and financial plans.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross. Advanced certification (e.g., ALS) does not supersede BLS.
- Obtain and maintain Financial Management Level 2 Certification within 24 months of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with budget planning and forecasting; analyzing and resolving budgetary problems; and coaching or training team members. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
