You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in the Surface Ship Readiness Program, Surface Warfare Directorate of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.

Duties

You will serve as the PMS 443 Ship Control System Lead ILS Manager providing direct logistics management support in the execution of program management of new ship construction and in-service systems. You will provide program management for Surface Fleet - Ship Control Systems (SCS), ensuring that quality, cost, schedule, and technical requirements are met. You will coordinate group efforts and consolidate findings into a proposed product and deliver briefings to senior stakeholders. You will manage and mentor Logistics Managers overseeing Ship Control Systems for various platforms/configurations. You will direct and develop reports, analysis, processes, and procedures for monitoring of logistic product support. You will develop plans of action indicating requirements/tasks and justification for proposed approach, cost, funding, manpower, facilities, milestone schedule and required coordination with other organizations and activities. You will deliver presentations on the results of work performed and/or conduct reviews, recommend programs and special tasks associated with the assigned functional responsibilities. You will solve broad Integrate Logistics Support (ILS) related sustainment problems and implements strategic plans within and across organizational components.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing logistics management, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), or Integrated Product Support (IPS) operations to ensure the life cycle, sustainment, or availability of designated systems or equipment.
