About the Position: 75TH RANGER REGIMENT HEADQUARTERS FORT MOORE, GA The 75th Ranger Regiment is a unique Special Operations Force comprised of specially selected and well-trained Soldiers and DA Civilians. Our four-time volunteer force provides our Nation a range of capabilities Special Operations: conduct large-scale Joint Forcible Entry Operations and execute surgical Special Operations Raids around the globe in high-risk, uncertain, and politically sensitive areas.

Duties

Drafts and issues interpretations of the Command's budgetary guidance, supplemental guidance, and instructions to major subordinate troop units and the Special Forces Group’s headquarters staff. Finalizes budget schedules and mechanized report data for assigned troop units and staff elements. Prepares a variety of reports covering the status of funds, expenses, and obligations for each program of the subordinate troop units and the headquarters staff element.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires a SECRET security clearance.
  • This position requires TDY travel 10% of the time.
  • This Position require incumbent to obtain Financial Management certification within one-years of appointment and maintain certification for duration of employment.

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Devising comprehensive strategies for the execution of budgets and to establish and maintain a balanced multiyear budgetary operation; 2) Applying concepts, principles, practices, laws, regulations, and policies budget execution to provide an authoritative source of advice and guidance to subordinate level program/budget and management personnel on the budget process and making adjustments in allotments to affected programs and activities; 3) Applying budgetary and analytical techniques to include cost-benefit analysis, program evaluation review technique, and life cycle management approach to prepare analyses and make recommendations on the development and/or implementation of new or expanded missions or programs and the adjustment of existing budgetary programs; and 4) Interpreting complex legislative precedents related to the federal budget process and regulatory policy and guidance to determine the effects on budget and programs.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12.
