Duties
Represents DFAS as a recognized subject matter expert to establish and maintain a multi-disciplinary threat management capability to conduct and integrate the monitoring, analysis, reporting, and response to insider threats.
Provides technical advice and develops, coordinates and maintains planning documents related to the automation and/or refinement of the systems functions related to business continuity planning software support.
Recommends strategies for meeting program requirements. Determines methods for measuring progress against planned objectives and actions. Interact with all vendors internal and external for operational software or user issues, as needed.
Prepares After Action Reports and recommendations and options for problems encountered. Assists in developing and maintaining training plans, sets up workshops to train continuity planners at all levels.
Assists in establishing and coordinating DFAS network exercises to provide training in and testing of emergency/contingency plans, procedures, and programs pertaining to the period immediately proceeding, during and following emergencies.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience Is Defined As:
Experience with a large scale Insider Threat (InT) program and policy development based on (InT) identified requirements; experience working with and integrating security-related data from counterintelligence, personnel security, legal, and law enforcement entities within a command, agency, or large organization.
Time-in-Grade:
Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
