Duties

Serves as the Team Lead and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Headquarters (HQ) Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Program Manager for the CPI Program Management Office (PMO). Provides leadership and guidance for CPI implementation throughout Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as a certified CPI MBB Practitioner. Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees and contract staff in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization. Serves as the Senior DLA Master Black Belt (MBB) and Lead CPI PM that supports processes, training and coaching activities and artifacts relative to the successful deployment of CPI within the Agency. Oversees and leads in the development and sustainment of policies, execution standards, procedural guidance, training, and metrics for the overall CPI program. Provides technical guidance, counsel, and coaching to DLA Leadership, Sponsors, Champions, and Master Black Belts (MBB), and Organizational CPI Program Managers. Serves as the functional expert and Strategic Integrator who facilitates the end-to-end business cycle design as fully synchronized with DLA's continually evolving strategic direction and transformational programs.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Lead Management Analyst (Continuous Process Improvement), your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing technical guidance, counsel, and coaching to agency Leadership, Sponsors, Champions, and Master Black Belts (MBB), and Organizational continuous process improvement (CPI) Program Managers Serving as the functional expert and Strategic Integrator who facilitates end-to-end business cycle requirements for a large agency. Experience serving as a coach, facilitator, and/or negotiator in coordinating a team's initiatives. Leading a CPI deployment for an organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
