You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Camera and Video Systems Sustainment Branch (D65) in the Network and Digital System Sustainment Division (D60) within the Digital Engineering Department (D00) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

You will serve as a Team Lead, providing support for development, test and evaluation, and ship installation of LCS Camera and Video Distribution Systems, You will provide expert technical services with execution of work assignments pertaining to significant tasks within project oriented in-service engineering services in U.S. and allied ships or shore facilities, You will provide technical services in accomplishment of technical efforts relative to Fleet Support, equipment assessment, investigation, analysis, evaluation, faults and corrective recommendations, Your support will be for LCS CCTV and Video Distribution Systems, Processing and Conversion equipment, LCS Computer and LAN Systems, Peripherals, Video Projection, Distribution and Display, and Cameras and Television Systems, You will also support computers, operating systems (LINUX, Windows XP, and Solaris), networking equipment (CISCO Routers and Switches), and related interfacing LCS Video systems relating to Combat Systems, Ships, and Guns and Missiles, You will provide performance reviews of the results, developmental approach, evaluation of new concepts and design approaches, and assessment of functional capability with elements of the LCS Video Distribution System, You will assist in scheduling and execution of technical alterations and related tasks, You will develop and review documentation and specifications for entire sy stems to determine problematic hardware or software, You will provide professional leadership and technical services, including project or task planning and execution of work assignments for elements of in-service engineering agent (ISEA) services for LCS CCTV and Video Distribution Systems, You will serve as a specialist on advanced technology tools and maintenance support requirements, You will serve as a recognized expert for Fleet interface and programs, You will serve as a project lead for engineering projects associated with the design, in-service engineering, installation, operation, and maintenance of assigned equipment, You will be responsible for a technical review of overall system design, operational performance, intra and inter systems interfaces and ship support interfaces, technical data, and similar criteria involved in integration of major subsystems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, providing technical services and support in accomplishment of technical efforts relative to fleet Support (e.g., development, test and evaluation, and ship installation; equipment assessment, investigation, analysis, evaluation, faults and corrective recommendations) of LCS Camera, Video Distribution Systems, or LCS Computer and LAN Systems and peripherals.
