You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the INSTALLATION SECURITY OFFICE of NAS FALLON SEC DET.
Duties
You will assess the threat levels at facilities throughout the Command's Regions to implement immediate security countermeasures.
You will conduct vulnerability assessments to confirm sufficient protection (i.e. property, information, material) for the organization.
You will conduct physical security and crime prevention surveys as directed by managers and senior staff.
You will create and conduct personnel security training for all department personnel.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Subject to 24-hour recall and is required to respond per command policy.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing threat assessments for personnel and assets which have anti-terrorism responsibilities; 2) Updating plans, manuals, and instructions to provide recommendations regarding changes to security specifications; 3) Conducting inspections of mission essential vulnerable assets, arms, ammunition, and explosive storage facilities and critical infrastructure; 4) Conducting classroom, formal, and informal training on crime prevention and physical security awareness programs; 5) Serving as a Loss Prevention Technical Specialist/ Security Advisor for the installation during meetings. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
OR
