You will serve as a Security Specialist in staff of Command Officer of the COMNAVINFOWARTRAGRU VIRGINIA BEACH VA.
Duties
You will plan, manage, implement, evaluate and adapt programs related to Physical, Administrative and Personnel security, Security Education and the accountability, protection, control, processing and dissemination of classified material.
You will liaison with security professionals regarding administrative requests/requirements, all matters concerning personnel, physical, information and industrial security disciplines.
You will be responsible for the evaluation and review of personnel records and security forms and advise whether or not personnel meet the stringent criteria.
You will plan, manage, implement and evaluate the adaptation of physical and administrative security programs for the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
You will oversee the security program to achieve maximum utilization of classified material/information (including SCI), security controls, processing and accountability of all classified material.

- You will be required to travel periodically, both to receive and provide training.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience interpreting security administration programs and the Navy Information and Personnel Security Program Regulations pertaining to access, handling and safeguarding of all classified information and material.
Experience providing knowledge of security policy requirements requiring the application of new theories and developments to security problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted security methods, technology or procedures.
Experience applying knowledge of the DIA and Navy Sensitive Compartmented (SCI) security procedures, requirements, policies, guidelines and directives related to the management and security of these programs.
Experience providing knowledge of the Navy's clearance adjudication process and the operations of the National Intelligence Community and its relationship with SCI programs within DoD.
Experience developing policy and making key decisions regarding difficult assignments, such as, planning for new or far-reaching security program requirements, leading or participating as a technical expert in interagency study groups for resolving problems in existing security systems and programs requiring innovative solutions.
Experience evaluating and making recommendation concerning overall plans and proposals for major agency and interagency security projects.
Experience planning and completing all aspects of work impacting SCI management, administration, billet control, vulnerability assessment and violation reporting.
