You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST in the NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT.

Duties

You will serve as the authoritative voice and administrative lead for the command on all SAP, STO, and CAP security issues. You will use sound judgement in identifying, interpreting, and adapting security related policies and procedures and resolves problems within applicable guidelines. You will review, interpret, and provide guidance on technical and administrative security policies, regulations, directives, and procedures that affect the programs. You will provide guidance to command elements on classification and the release of program and foreign disclosure information. You will conduct annual security management and assistance visits of subordinate elements to ensure compliance with applicable program and service regulations.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• This position is subject to random counterintelligence scope polygraph examinations.
• You will be required to report to the command when requested.
• This position requires you to obtain and maintain the Security Asset Protection Professional Certification within 2 years from appointment into this position.
• This position requires you to obtain and maintain applicable DoD Security qualifications.
• This is a Furlough Exempt position.
• May be deployable.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Responsible for Operational, Physical, Information, Personnel, Communications, Industrial, Technical Security Programs AND provides oversight of new technology, unique systems, sensitive information, and equipment from development through their lifecycle.
