About the Position: Serves as the Supervisory Administrative Support Specialist within the Directorate responsible for all phases of program planning, implementation and management required to meet the business operations for the (DPW).
Duties
Performs front-end analysis on requests for training to link to a business need and to determine if a more in-depth program is desirable.
Reviews and evaluates impact of training on the organization; conducts trends analyses, and prepares command level training reports and briefings.
Initiate and track, through the appropriate automated system, all personnel actions (promotions, recruitment, reassignment, etc.) for an organization.
Assigns work, based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignment, and the capabilities of employees.
Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced by the subordinate staff.
Provide managerial oversight, supervision, guidance, direction and mentorship to the Directorate Program Support Specialist and the Security Officer.
Provide technical advice to superiors and others throughout an organization concerning civilian personnel matters.
Develop internal procedures and controls relative to civilian personnel matters.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing administrative functions in the areas of support services, awards, civilian personnel, manpower, document/reports control, logistics, etc.; analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative programs; and providing staff advice, assistance, and consultation in response to a wide variety of administrative procedures, taskings, and response to inquiries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
