Duties

Performs duties as a Retail Business Process Analyst (BPA) and is specialized in one or more process areas related to Industrial Support Activity (ISA) production/maintenance support mission requirements. Process Areas include: Order Management, (Order Fulfillment and Inventory Management), Planning, military service supply chain systems management and process areas including Military Wholesale Order Fulfillment and Military Wholesale Planning. Identifies the required system changes resulting from new process, procedure, or policy requirements in the process area. Conducts studies to determine whether proposed changes to EBS, DSS, and military service systems applications meet functional user requirements. Serves on Enterprise teams to develop systems and procedures requirements for DLA-specific applications, design, build, test, and deployment. Develops training material, coordinates with Major Support Command (MSC) and military service stakeholders, conducts instruction, and analyzes training evaluations for future improvement. Reviews, analyzes and performs studies of policies including their functional and system implementation. Monitors, analyzes, and evaluates Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and other process performance data to ensure the process area is meeting its performance targets and identifies trends and other factors adversely affecting performance.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supply Systems Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) or competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Monitoring, analyzing and evaluating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), metrics, and other process performance data. Conducting functional systems analysis to identify required system changes from new processes, procedures or policy requirements. Providing input for the development of new or substantially modified policies affecting Supply Management. Evaluating additions to or changes in supply policies, programs and procedures. Coordinating, collaborating and communicating with customers and other process areas to continuously improve processes. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
