You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the NAVAL ACADEMY. Salary Range for GS-07: $55,924 - $72,703 Salary Range for GS-09: $68,405 - $88,926

Duties

You will utilize automated system or application (e.g., SABRS, CFMS, DTS, and N-ERP) to access, edit, print or retrieve financial data. You will obtain information and coordinate budgets for multiple programs of appropriated, gift and travel requirements. You will perform accurate mathematical computations and verify accuracy of documentation. You will respond to inquiries pertaining to financial and budgetary transactions. You will provide face-to-face singular customer service, receive intranet inquiries, produce data slides for training and provide financial briefs when required.

• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.

Qualifications

GS-09 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating budgets for multiple programs of appropriated, gift and travel requirements; 2) Providing technical advice concerning financial operations; and 3) Researching and analyzing accounting discrepancies to determine corrective actions. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For GS-07 =1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement.

For GS-09 =master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related.
