Duties
You will serve as the Deputy Director for Manpower and Personnel (SOJ1) in the SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND, PACIFIC (SOCPAC). Key focus areas include:
Providing senior level management for military and civilian human resource programs, manpower management, personnel plans, and readiness;
Issuing personnel policies; performing long and short-range strategic personnel planning;
Conducting comprehensive management studies and special projects; and managing an operating budget.
You will assist the SOJ1 Director in establishing, overseeing, supervising, directing, and/or guiding the planning and policies in support of military personnel and civilian Human Resources (HR) programs and objectives
You will manage the joint manpower program to posture the force and sustain readiness in support of theater strategy and operations.
You will manage the various joint programs to include awards, personnel accountability, Health of SOF, Joint Duty Assignments, etc.
You will be responsible for a full range of personnel, administrative and staff support as delegated by the SOJ1 Director.
You will participate in budget planning, integration, and execution processes for the directorate.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing the following duties: 1) In-depth knowledge of management principles, operations, and practices and of governing administrative laws, policies, procedures regulations, practices, and precedents; 2) Providing senior leadership oversight of staff functions and divisions; 3) Utilizing financial, budgeting cycles and resource allocation rules, regulations and processes to effectively oversee financial resources; 4) Applying pertinent laws, regulations, policies and precedents that affect personnel capabilities; and 5) Accomplishing work through interpersonal relationships with individuals of varying backgrounds, skills, experiences, and levels of authority.
