About the Position: Serves as the principal advisor to The Army Surgeon General in the development, coordination and execution of medical Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) policy, requirements, and capability development.
Duties
Provide Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and budget policy recommendations in response to changes in levels of appropriations, requirements, new capabilities or other legislative or organizational changes within the Army.
Participate in working groups and integrated concept teams representing the Office of The Surgeon General (OTSG).
Coordinate policy for acquisition, storage, distribution, and destruction of medical CBRN defense material in support of deploying forces and installation protection personnel.
Provide staff synchronization for the development of systems, policies, and directives to provide total asset visibility.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. Selectee must sign DA Form 5019-R and must pass urinalysis testing, prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- A pre-employment and recurring comprehensive background investigation is required through the duration of the employment.
