Duties
You will provide quality, timely products and services with focus on serving internal and external customers.
You will independently collect data and preparation of recurring and periodic reports, and responds to upper level data calls.
You will research guides to locate accounting, budgetary and financial information and prepares summaries for use by higher-graded analysts and Branch Manager.
You will interpret standard organizational budgetary, accounting, or financial administrative procedures, practices and regulations to support stakeholder business processes.
You will maintain metrics for managing and reporting FIAR initiatives for assertion, sustainment and examination events with accurate and timely information regarding status and progress for the MILPAY business processes.
Requirements

- GS-11 is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- GS-12 is a Financial Management Level 2 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications
GS-12:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating detailed knowledge and understanding of budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations; 2) Establishing and utilizing policies, precedents, goals,objectives, regulations, and guidelines of a functional area; 3) Applying skill to the identification, analysis and conceptualization of budgetary problems and development of alternative solutions; and 4) Using various administrative and financial management systems.
GS-11:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding and formulation of budget estimates for programs in which funding requirements have changed significantly; 2) Applying skill to the identification, analysis and conceptualization of budgetary problems and development of alternative solutions; 3) Using various administrative and financial management systems; and 4) Following budgetary policies, precedents,procedures, and regulations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, applicants may substitute education at the following grade level:
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
