About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, GEOSPATIAL Intelligence Battalion, Springfield, VA 22150.

Duties

Serves as a Training and Exercise (TREX) Branch Chief for the Army GEOINT Battalion (AGB), National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC). Responsibilities for the design, production and maintenance of GEOINT courseware development and the Army GEOINT Foundry program. Provides input into the planning and development of training programs in the area of geospatial intelligence. Experience as a Foundry program manager dealing with budget and training resources. Evaluates employee performance, sets performance standards, and provides employees counseling and recommends awards or disciplinary action for employee performance. Represents the organization at higher HQs, the Army and within the Department of Defense (DOD) and National Intelligence Community on assigned requirements, missions, GEOINT Foundry courses, and training capabilities.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.

Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, and Training. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and Training directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of developing Training for military and Civilians.
