About the Position: The position is with the DHA Augusta Market, serving as Chief, Systems Administration Branch of the Information Management Division (IMD) responsible for planning, supervising, managing, directing and/or reviewing all activities for assigned areas through a staff of civilian, and contractor personnel at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, Georgia.
Duties
Conduct supervisory and personnel management functions.
Plan and assign work to be accomplished by subordinates, set priorities and schedule completion.
Provide advice, information and guidance regarding current functions and future information system concepts, methods, practice, operation and technologies for all of the information management functions.
Provide technical guidance to staff on system administration branch operations, formulating general guidelines for projects and specific approaches to be used by subordinate and contractor personnel.
Plan, schedule, and estimate resources for both civilian and contract employees necessary to accomplish workload.
Attend conferences, meetings or/and workgroups relating to automation technology, planning, integration and implementation, and disseminate pertinent information to Managers.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Secret Clearance (T3).
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position is covered by Health Affairs Policy 97006, 23 Oct 96 the position requires the employee to obtain Hepatitis B immunizations and Tuberculin testing unless exempt by physician.
- This position requires IAT Level II Certification.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes, 1) Supervising, leading, or directing a staff of professionals to meet mission goals; 2) Experience in or assisting with administration and management of Active Directory, to include scripting with Power Shell experience, 3) Leading information technology projects, to include setting priorities for staff members and/or contractors, planning work to be completed, coordinating with other sections and/or vendors, and providing performance feedback; and 4) Experience in or assisting with virtualization platforms using tools such as, VMWare and Hyper-V; including setup, configuration, and maintaining virtual servers, and Network management, system and domain administration.
Specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:

Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: completing thorough and accurate work independently, even in the most difficult or stressful situations; occasionally reviewing work completed by others;
