Duties

As an Inspections and Compliance Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Provide oversight and direction to agency personnel who perform systematic examination of legal records, financial records and documents, employment documents, and immigration status relative to the investigative mission. Coordinate with leadership to ensures all appropriate policies as it relates to laws, regulations, general administrative policies, and labor exploitation audits and investigations is up to date. Make decisions on work problems and collaborates with heads of other organizational units to coordinate work related changes that affect their assigned program area.

  • Time in Grade: Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade in the Federal service. Time in grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Probationary Period: This is a full-time permanent position (Career/Career-Conditional appointment). Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
  • Motor Vehicle Operation: You must possess a valid automobile driver's license at the time of appointment.
  • This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and competence. It is critical that the incumbent has significant labor exploitation auditing experience and/or an extensive knowledge of United States Immigration law.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain eligibility for access to classified information at the TOP SECRET.

You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Documenting, validating , and verifying consolidated findings for assigned inspections, audits, or reviews and detail adequate background to support the identification of any finding. Identifying problems and resolve information conflicts with both internal and external agencies. Leading teams performing on-site compliance audits/inspections/reviews of operations, programs, and events. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
