You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (DATAMGT) in the Information Technology Directorate (N6) of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD DAHLGREN.

Duties

You will plan, lead, and execute Microsoft SharePoint Online and Power Apps/Power automate tasks as they align to strategic command goals. You will develop and maintain PowerBi dashboard capabilities to collect and monitor key metric data pertaining to customer complaints, issues, concerns and incidents. You will provide consultation, troubleshooting, and training support to customers in all areas of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint online. You will review, refine, and provide extensive feedback on organizational policies, processes, and procedures to enhance communication and efficiency.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Database Administrator (421) within 12 months of appointment.
  • Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (described in SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position.
  • Participate in a continuous learning program as described in DoDM 8140 a minimum of 20 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience with planning, leading and executing with SharePoint and Web platform development as a site administrator; 2) Experience with developing and maintaining dashboard capabilities by collecting and monitoring key metric data; 3) Knowledge and experience with using Microsoft 365 and PowerBi applications or similar systems; 4) Utilizing IT helpdesk experience with providing advice, technical assistance and support on the effective and efficient use of SharePoint and web based applications. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. This standard allows eligibility through meeting either the requirements specified in the section titled Education or the requirements specified in the section titled Experience.

Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions

Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
