This position is part of the Security and Intelligent Documents, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.
Duties
Manage and coordinate the receiving, warehousing, and shipping functions, as well as waste management for the Washington, DC, Secure Production Facility, Stennis, MS, and Pueblo, CO facilities.
Coordinate all phases of the Materials Management and Transportation operations as it pertains to the Materials Management and distribution of U.S. Passports, Secure Credentials, and the components used to manufacture them.
Coordinate distribution activities for U.S. Passport, Secure Credential and the components used to manufacture them to ensure that production, storage, and delivery deadlines are met, and commitments are fulfilled.
Outline priorities and deadlines making changes in operations, when necessary.
Direct, coordinate, and supervise all components of the Materials Management and Transportation which includes planning, controlling, and overseeing the activities of the SID Materials Management and Transportation division.

- TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. Applicants must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service to qualify

To qualify for the Supervisory Supply Management Specialist, PG - 2003 - 15, you must meet the following requirements:
This position requires specialized experience as a Supply Management Specialist at least at the PG 14 level or higher in the federal service which demonstrates that the applicant possesses the specialized experience to perform the duties of a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist. Specialized experience is defined as:1) Managing the operations of a manufacturing or printing plant. 2) Developing or implementing procedures or regulatory matters regarding materials management operations. 3) Supervising or leading shift operations; and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used or this grade level.
