About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama just off interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with Approximately 4000 employees.
Duties
Performs daily budget assignments, both routine and complex in nature.
Conducts various types of financial analysis.
Extracts and Compiles data to monitor actual execution and provide forecasts.
Ensures daily actions follow Audit Readiness requirements.
Research guidance and prepares summaries for use by supervisor, senior analysts, and junior analysts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a data analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for data analytics level 1 certification within 12 months of being placed on the position.
- This position requires Financial Management Level 2 Certification in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 USC, section 1599d.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of budgetary and financial management duties including compiling, consolidating, reviewing and analyzing data. Also includes a working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Specialized Experience GS-11: One year of specialized experience which includes developing, reviewing, analyzing, and editing various segments and portions of the organization's Operating Budget; preparing preliminary budget estimates and reviewing justifications for program support activities; and compiling and presenting financial data, into work sheets, budget schedules, and other supplemental reports needed for budget and funding reviews. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
