About the Position: This position is located at the U S Army MSCoE Chemical School on Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Integrate knowledge of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) systems approach to training, new instructional technology, and doctrinal and organization changes for CBRN soldiers.
Perform analysis, design, development, and evaluation of two or more courses.
Coordinate design process to translate analyses data into a structure or blueprint for training with the assistance of Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Serve as training developer in the developing/assisting in the development and validation of course management documents Program of Instruction (POI), Course Administrative Data (CAD), Individual Training Plan (ITP).
Prepare written reports identifying problem areas and viable solutions to be used in formulating recommendation to modify course curricula, training material, instructional techniques, etc.
Monitor instruction conducted by the instructional departments to ensure conformity with current, approved course control documents.
Apply knowledge of instructional technologies, strategies, and models and can design and develop multimedia, distance learning and training simulations.
Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and selected training activities to maintain subject matter knowledge.

This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management.
Specialized Experience for GS-07 Level: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation or industrial establishment; applying the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation(ADDIE) systems approach to training; coordinating training development with new Chemical Defense Training Facility (CDTF) systems; and preparing performance work statements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Education: One full year of graduate level education or superior academic degree.( please attach transcripts)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-5).
Specialized Experience for GS-09 Level: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation or industrial establishment; applying the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) systems approach to training; coordinating training development with new Chemical Defense Training Facility (CDTF) systems; preparing performance work statements, participating in acquisition efforts (supplies or services), and performing quality control for acquisitions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Education, Business, Business Management or Business Administration. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
