You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Test and Evaluation Department in the Undersea Systems Acquisition & Assessment Division System Acceptance and Operational Readiness Department, at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.
Duties
You will use general policies and precedents including local, DoD, Navy, and Safety policies, and procedures.
You will Plan and execute environmental tests, including Shock, Vibration, and Climatic tests.
You will apply simulation and stimulation testing technologies to support the Testing and Evaluation, research and development, and science and technology.
You will adapt guidelines such as agency policies, procedures, regulations, manuals, directives, and oral and written instructions.
You will work with project engineer to develop timelines and actionable tasks.
You will Work closely with the engineer staff and team lead, the incumbent schedules and physically conducts Environmental testing.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- I am willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 80 pounds in weight.
- The incumbent must be willing to obtain and maintain the ordinance and explosives qualification/certification in accordance with OPNAVINST 8023.24C
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as an applying technical engineering principles to provide modifications in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting or repair of equipment or systems for the weapons development program.
Must have experience in reviewing and performing Depot level procedures in maintenance, testing, refurbishment and repairs. Must have experience with the PMDER and TMDER processes. Must have production scheduling and management experience. Must have experience in retrieving documents from CMPRO and LIDOL. Must have experience inputting data into Target TDS. Must be fluent in reading drawings for electronic and mechanical components, assemblies and subsystems. Must be experienced in DC motor troubleshooting, repairs and refurbishment. Must be experienced and skilled in use of standard Depot tooling and test equipment. Familiar with ASM for qualification tracking and management. Must be CAT3 Crane rigger qualified. Must demonstrate competent written and oral communication skills, and ability to work with and communicate with individuals. Must demonstrate problem solving, failure analysis and systems engineering competencies. Must qualify Lead within 120 days of selection.
