About the Position: Provides a wide range of administrative and management assistance to the Huntington Regional Rivers Repair Fleet Command and Control. Position is located in Huntington, WV.
Duties
Performs a wide range of specialized administrative work for a diverse, technically complex and geographically dispersed organization.
Assists supervisors in preparations of all required documentation (i.e. job descriptions, award nominations and citations, requests for training, performance plans and appraisal information).
Performs cost analysis and recommends most efficient method of travel, makes appropriate travel arrangements, completes travel vouchers in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations.
Serves as timekeeper for assigned personnel and inputs time and attendance records into an automated system.
Generates regular and recurring administrative reports such as travel, training, leave, overtime, and equipment usage reports.
Provides general answers and guidance or contacts the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center regarding questions concerning the various aspects of employment.
Assists the Training Coordinator in preparing annual training requirement information, development of the annual training plan and budget by compiling and submitting requested information for assigned personnel.
Creates purchase requests for mileage driven and maintenance performed on assigned vehicles and reports monthly to the Logistics Management Office. Processes and maintains purchasing records in accordance with regulations.
Making travel arrangements, providing travel services and coordinating travel needs for personnel.
Estimating, preparing, and finalizing a variety of items related to travel orders, travel vouchers, and advances.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to learn and use computers and software, including Corps- developed software.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying a broad knowledge of regulations, policies and procedures in order to perform a variety of administrative support work. Examples of work can be associated with supporting operating and facility budgets, fiscal accounts, purchasing and supplies, personnel administration, time and attendance, and travel and transportation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
