This position is located at Departmental Offices,DO - Recover Prog/ Small Business,Transprt, Legacy. As a Compliance Analyst, you will be charged with ensuring that recipients comply with their funding requirements and proactively assisting recipients come into compliance to facilitate the success of the purpose of the award.
Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
Review, analyze, and monitor recipient activity to ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations and operating policies and procedures by developing expertise in compliance systems and testing.
Monitor compliance of grant, loan and note agreements between the Treasury and funding recipients in current and future assistance programs.
Identify trends in the study of domestic and economic finance to support the legislated policy of the grant program and engages with recipients to improve compliance across the portfolio of programs that ORP/OCA implements.
Develop and implement compliance approaches; conduct compliance tests; participate in identifying and remediating non-compliant situations; help develop and test information systems; coordinate with data, reporting, and oversight; and produce reports and presentations.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-14: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes ALL the following:- Designing, executing, and monitoring audits, internal control, or compliance reviews for recipients of federal grants, loans, notes, or assistance; AND
- Developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures for auditing and remediation activities; AND
- Experience coordinating the development and implementation of information systems to manipulate program data and identify compliance issues.
Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have at least one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes ALL the following:
- Analyzing programs to prevent, identify and minimize waste, fraud and/or abuse of grant or assistance funds; AND
- Composing memos to management describing instances of non-compliance with financial assistance program guidelines and recommending action; AND
- Conducting compliance tests, identifying non-compliant situations, and implementing remediation; AND
- Experience using automated systems to support audits, internal controls and/or compliance testing.
