ABOUT THE POSITION: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.
You may need to complete a 3 year probationary period, if applicable.
This position is with 7th, Fort Meade, Maryland.
Duties
Serves as the primary timekeeper for the entire G-3 staff utilizing the Automated Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS) and Defense Civilian Pay System (DCPS).
Identifies trends based on historical information, researching past performance.
Ensures that all data points have been reported and verifies formation and compliance with guidance.
Receives office visitors and telephone calls determining as to the identity of the caller and general purpose of the call.
Plans, develops, and coordinates administrative and management functions and operations.
Maintains logs and suspense records on incoming correspondence and follows up to ensure timely action to include a suspense tracking system.
Assesses, coordinates, analyzes, and documents administrative requirements.
Obtains, analyzes, and presents information for a variety of recurring projects, programs, and special reports.
Researches, assembles, and summarizes a wide variety of material pertaining to the organization’s staff functions.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access for the duration of employment.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by performing procedural and administrative work in an office setting; utilizing Microsoft Office to manage calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare and edit documents (e.g., correspondence, spreadsheets, graphs, charts, etc.); coordinate meetings and/or conferences including schedules, agenda, and timelines; and follow up on taskers/due dates and ensure timely response.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
