Position is located in the Department of Public Works, JBM-HH Virginia.
About the Position: Management Analyst for the Department of Public Works (DPW),Business Operations Division, to support project improvement and cost effectiveness at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Virginia.
Duties
Maintain and monitor various organizational wide programs and require extensive coordination with other staff elements and command groups.
Plan and perform management and productivity improvement studies and projects to improve organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and to reduce costs.
Responsible for assisting implementation of and accounting and budget database system such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) modifications for Department of Public Works (DPW) workforce and determine the effectiveness of the changes.
Action Officer for DPW data collection for installation status to brief Garrison Commander.
Develop and maintain Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPR) log.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation, Tier one (1) investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- One-year probationary period may be required unless already completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing management and productivity improvement studies and projects, 2) Managing the operations and support of an accounting and budget operation system such as, General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), 3) Assisting employees in implementing the accounting and budget system for workforce accountability AND 4) Collecting accounting and budget database information to determine productivity of workforce operations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11 or above.
