About the Position: This position is located at Ft. Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville.
Duties
Responsible for the Training Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS) and the Unique Item Tracking (UIT) system for reporting usage of missiles and rockets to the National Inventory Control Point (NICP).
Monitors the progress of required quarterly wall-to-wall inventories of all Class V assets and schedules any special inventories and location surveys as required or requested.
Ensures inventories are performed in accordance with Department of the Army and local directives.
Serves as the Directorate of Logistics functional systems analyst over three automated systems: The Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS); Training Ammunition Management Information System (TAMIS); and the Unique Item Tracking System (UIT).
Monitors a contractor managed account in a Government Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) operation.
Receives, stores, and issues Class V Materiel such as ammunition, explosives, missiles/rockets and residue.
Analyzes and resolves complex automated supply program issues and problems involving day-to-day operations and the processes of receipt, issue, turn-in and storage management of ammunition.
Serves as Accountable Officer for the automated stock record account of an Ammunition Supply Point servicing United States Army Fort Novosel and various components such as the Navy, Marines, National Guard, and Reserves.
Maintains stock record accountability on ammunition Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS).
Requirements

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/and or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience in the areas of General Supply or Administrative and Management; managing the receipt, issue, and storage of Class V items such as ammunition, explosives, or rockets; Managing hand receipts, using computer-based supply systems for tracking/issuing/receiving/procurement of property; scheduling and conducting inventories; and monitoring contractors cope of work requirement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
