This position is located In the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Office of the Director (OD), National Institutes of Health (NIH). You will serve as a senior IT Specialist within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Office within ISAO. You will lead and manage a broad range of security-related training, outreach and awareness initiatives and projects to educate staff on specific security concepts and protocols, and to establish and embed a culture of security throughout NIH.
Duties
Work as part of a team to initiate, develop, implement, and evaluate various assigned security outreach and awareness programs and initiatives
for the Governance, Risk, and Compliance division (GRC).
Lead and coordinate the implementation of security programs across platforms and establishes training and awareness reporting criteria.
Oversee the assessment of the security training needs of the NIH staff and assists in ensuring that training gaps are identified and addressed.
Provide program support to GRC and ISAO leadership on activities focused on effectively managing Training and Security Awareness, IT
programs, projects, and services.
Identify, stand up, and implement a new training/ learning management application.
Act as a COR (Contract Officer Representative )/Alternate COR as assigned and assists programs with coordinating contract funding actions and
associated budget tracking and status.
Provide analysis, research, and development of communications materials such as briefings and reports, and as requested briefs senior
leadership on various subjects, project status, and other activities.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for the IT Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-14 position, you must have IT related experience demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience obtained in either the private or public sector, and/or completion of specific, intensive training that demonstrates that you possess each of the following four competencies:
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail;
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services;

Problem Solving - identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
AND You must demonstrate in your resume that you have at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, typically gained in the IT field or through performing IT related tasks such as: managing and advising on IT security training and awareness programs, projects, and initiatives; providing guidance and technical support to managers and program staff on IT security training and awareness programs and issues; analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of IT security training and awareness programs; monitoring compliance of IT security training and awareness programs with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; and coordinating and collaborating with other staff and organizations on IT security training and awareness programs.
