About the Position: This position is located at the 43rd AG Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Perform a variety of tasks involving authorizing, verifying eligibility, and issuance of Common Access Cards (CAC)/ID cards. Provide regulatory information, and explain requirements, privileges and services to which they may be entitled. Assist in obtaining ID cards for dependents. Schedule, administer, and grade a variety of DoD authorized web-based tests for the installation and surrounding areas. Inventory test materials. Operate automated systems and various web-based applications as well as Microsoft Office programs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The employee may be required to work overtime to include weekends and federal holidays, out of cycle, or on an emergency basis.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Proficiency Required: A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer err You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer LiteracyOral CommunicationPersonnel Action Processing and RecordkeepingWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements.
