About the Position: This is a Permanent position with the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, DCA, Human Resources Division at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Duties
Analyze and formulate personnel accounting strength management data utilized by the supervisor and Chief, Human Resources Division.
Responsible for tracking of all known losses and gains of personnel through local, Medical Command (MEDCOM) and Department of the Army (DA) database systems.
Initiate and maintain critical suspense control file to ensure reports are received at Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) prior to established suspense date.
Maintain proper slotting of personnel in all systems with Tables of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) to include current systems of Intergrated Personnel and Pay System- Army (IPPS-A) and Defense Military Human Resource System (DMHRSi).
Provide detailed explanations to complaints and inquiries by researching facts and/or appropriate regulations and policies to resolve issues.
Responsible for personnel support of officer and enlisted promotions.
Oversee finance actions for military personnel and serves as a liaison between the element and serving finance.
Requirements
- Work is subject to overtime on an emergency basis.
- Incumbent may be recalled to duty from scheduled time off.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- Applicants tentatively selected for appointment to this position will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position requires the employee to have a Hepatitis B immunization series as well as an immunization screening as a condition of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in Federal service which requires using automated software systems to enter/extract data; maintaining/safeguarding files; reviewing and/or editing correspondence/documents; and providing guidance and support in areas such as strength accounting and reporting, personnel management and utilization, in/out processing, promotions, awards, personnel actions and evaluations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
