About the Position: This vacancy exists within the office of the PEO CS&CSS. Positions will be specifically located in the PEO CS&CSS. However, the referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in the PEO CS&CSS & PEO GCS, with duty location at Warren, MI and/or Selfridge, MI.
Duties
Conducting, monitoring, directing, coordinating, and performing research, design, development and troubleshooting activities on assigned technology areas within the team, and with outside external contractors to support serviced customers.
Conducting specific research and trade off analysis, executing market surveys, investigating technology transfer/insertion opportunities, requirements and specification development, configuration management, and technical field support.
Develop and execute program plans, documentation, schedules, budgets, test plans and reports, technology maturation plans, and milestones necessary for the overall planning and execution of the assigned program.
Develops, reviews, evaluates and makes recommendations concerning technology, user requirements, acquisition documents, priorities, schedules, cost estimates, budgets, milestones and other program assignments to improve customer support.
Conduct programmatic analysis of assigned projects and take proactive measures to keep projects within cost, schedule and performance targets.
Represent the work unit at meetings on matters pertaining to areas of responsibility/expertise.
Provides advice, counsel, and instructions on work and administrative matters.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
- Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (N) Engineering and Technical Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.

To qualify based on your experience, you must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies:

In addition to the four competencies, your resume must describe at least one year of experience at the NH-02 levelwhich prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Developing customer support procedures and standards; 2) Monitoring activities on assigned technology areas with the team and external contractors; 3) Develop program plans for the execution of assigned programs, and 4) Recommend solution to technology issues to improve customer support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
