Duties
You will receive, process, and vet domestic and foreign visitor request.
You will use appropriate security software systems, guidance from Information and Personnel Security protocol, and when appropriate use PMO required vetting.
You will ensure all personnel are screened upon joining the command for appropriate security clearances.
You will be the primary custodian of a central publication library of current applicable facility security policies, procedures, and directives.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) Processing requests for security clearances and background checks; 2) Recommending improvements to security procedures to ensure compliance with established security policies, procedures, and requirements; 3) Controlling, managing, and tacking all facility access badges; and 4) Providing physical security through the control of personnel access to restricted areas within a facility

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
- 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
- LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled: https://www.usajobs.gov/Help/working-in-government/unique-hiring-paths/students/federal-occupations-by-college-major/ ;
OR
- Combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work as a Physical Security Specialist
