Duties
Serve as the primary point of contact for the receipt, review and disposition of applications for Army ROTC Scholarships.
Assists applicants with the World Wide WEB (WWW) scholarship application to ensure receipt of updated information.
Serves as final reviewer of personnel transactions required in processing, eligibility determination, interpretation of ruling and regulations (which are developed to ensure cadets meet the requirements for entrance into the military service).
Receives and responds to telephonic, written, electronic mail and walk-in customer requests for information and status of their application.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), may be required up to 10% of the time.
- Position requires a Secret clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. Specialized experience is defined as reviewing applications to determine eligibility, completing forms and maintaining the military record jackets and maintaining an automated Human Resource system to review applicant material. OR have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves 1) applying a standard body of military personnel duties, regulations, procedures and operations concerning the preparation of enrollment and contract documents to maintain and update military record jackets for personnel, and to perform military functions in support of unit military cadre. 2) Organization and functions of the Detachment sufficient to provide regulatory guidance and program eligibility information.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
