You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the FST ENGINEERING DIVISION, FST DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties
You will provide guidance and implements complex metrology projects for the modification or improvement of state-of-the art calibration measurement systems in support of fleet-wide calibration program requirements.
You will provide technical services as needed in support of local calibration requirements.
You will identify test and measure equipment requirements, including calibration intervals.
You will assist in developing and implementing new or unique calibration and measurement methods and techniques, and assist in the preparation of calibration procedures concerning these techniques.
You will provide metrology expertise in support of in-service measurement/test equipment used to support a variety of systems.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-11
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Writing calibration support procedures (Instrument Calibration Procedures or Local Calibration Procedures) for various types of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment; 2) Providing Metrology expertise in support of a calibration laboratory to trouble shoot calibration standards and/or problematic calibrations; 3) Assisting in Standard Modernization projects by providing input and drafting deliverables for said projects.
GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Calibrating automatic test equipment, test sets and fixtures for all manner of electronics, optics, hydraulics and mechanical aviation systems; 2) Following ICPs (Instrument Calibration Procedures) and/or LCPs (Local Calibration Procedures) to calibrate TMDE (Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment), annotating OOTs (Out of Tolerances) as necessary; 3) Participating in training events for new calibration standards; 4) Performing calibration bench tests for ICP (Instrument Calibration Procedures) drafts.
