You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST, FST DEPARTMENT, FST ENGINEERING DIVISION (METROLOGY) of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will prepare other technical directives for systems.
You will plan, coordinate and conduct metrology engineering work.
You will identify, plan or evaluate corrective actions for electronics deficiencies.
You will perform bench tests and provide technical recommendations.
You will develop and implement new or unique calibrations.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Preparing Local Calibration Procedures (LCP), Temporary Engineering Instructions (TEI), Calibration Problem Reports (CPR), Calibration Problem Assistance Requests (CPAR), In-Service Engineering Requests (ISE), Local Calibration /Technical Guides (LTG), and other technical directives for components, equipment and assigned system; 2) Planning, coordinating, and conducting advance metrology engineering work which requires planning and development in several phases, each involving the development or origination of modified or new technical approaches or solutions because issues and data are often controversial or unknown; 3) Identifies plans, evaluates, and prescribes corrective action for electronics/mechanical deficiencies/incidents of significant proportion reported through appropriate reporting systems to improve reliability, maintainability, safety and economy; 4) Performing bench tests and provides technical recommendations and improvements to existing Instrument Calibration Procedures (ICP), Local Calibration Procedures (LCP), including draft forms of ICP/LCP, and interim guidance in a comprehensive report; 5) Developing and implementing new or unique calibration and measurement methods and techniques, and prepare technical papers or reports concerning these techniques.
