You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the FST DEPT, FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will advise personnel on electronic, electrical, and computer equipment.
You will evaluate adequacy of test equipment to repair, calibrate, or test electronic components.
You will brief leadership on the status or results of technical corrective action.
You will analyze test findings to identify unordinary effects on electrical components.
You will diagnose faults in the operational configuration of electronic systems and equipment.
You will develop technical analysis reports regarding the performance of evaluated avionics systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing training and technical input on 2M (Miniature/Micro Miniature) Soldering practices and processes including familiarity with related safety policies, 2) Inspecting and monitoring all Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) stations in order to ensure program goals remain satisfactory and on track in a safe working environment 3) Troubleshooting and repairing Avionics Electronic Circuit equipment 4) Developing and maintaining Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Set (TPS) software. 5) Preparing technical reports regarding completed technical project work, presenting results, conclusions and recommendations to stakeholders.
