About the Position: Serves as Organizational Development Specialist providing training, coaching, and consultation to organizations within U.S. Army Medical Command, located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
This position is a Temporary Promotion that can be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
This is an obligated position.
Duties
Use a variety of skills and specialized knowledge to provide organizational development services to Commanders, Command Teams, and Senior Staff Elements across U.S. Army Medical Command and Army Medicine.
Provide training and certification for unit level trainer/facilitators in a variety of teambuilding, self-awareness, and interpersonal relationship programs.
Develop and implement special programs designed to improve procedures and responses to mission accomplishment.
Provide leadership, advice and assistance for programs and projects related to leader and employee development to all levels of management and the team.
Facilitate, solve work problems, and participate in work of team.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position is an Obligated position.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes administering services such as training, coaching, consultation for an organization; providing leadership, advice and assistance for programs and projects related to leader and employee development to all levels of management; coaching team members in organizational engagement through training, application of unique special skills and/or experience to accomplish mission goals; utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to assess individual and organizational needs; facilitating work groups to help the organization correct process deficiencies, improve workforce communication and teamwork for organizational effectiveness; working knowledge of strategic business planning processes to develop instructional content for distributed learning and media publication; communicating both orally and in writing to establish clear organizational goals and execute within established parameters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
