About the Position: This position is located at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Center in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Duties

Develop recommended reprogramming of funds to ensure that balance is maintained. Recommend transfer of funds, as appropriate, to cover increased obligations or reduced expenditures Develop projections, based on projected workload or historical data. Compile and balance budget data for submission. Develop and/or utilize automated spreadsheet and database applications.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.

• Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of the Financial Management Level 2 certification program.

Specialized Exepeience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing budget estimates for assigned programs, monitoring obligations and/or expenditures of an annual budget and utilizing automated systems to extract a variety of financial data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
