About the Position: This position is located at the G8 Office, Program & Budget Division at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Provide guidance to Maneuver Support Center of Excellence organizational elements on all phases of budget formulation.
Prepare Commander's budget submission statements to higher headquarters.
Analyze budget guidance from higher headquarters to determine impact on installation mission operations.
Prepare briefings and/or documents utilizing various financial systems such as: General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Operation Data Store (ODS), and/or Institutional Training Resource Model (ITRM).
Recommend major reprogramming of funds to senior leaders to insure balance is efficiently maintained among major mission activities.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing guidance on all phases of budget formulation; analyzing budget data to ensure compliance with prescribed laws, policies and regulations; presenting budgetary briefings to senior leadership; and utilizing financial systems such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS), Operation Data Store (ODS), and/or Institutional Training Resource Model (ITRM). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
