About the Position: You will serve as a Mail Clerk (Motor Vehicle Operator). This position is located within the Human Resources Command, Personnel Information Systems Directorate (PERSINSD), Fort Knox, KY.

Duties

Sort, route and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and manage the delivery route for approximately 40 locations within the Garrison. Utilize knowledge of HQDA, DoD, MPSA mail policies and U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Laws, and Regulations. Utilize knowledge of and skill in applying, analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration and resolution of a problem or factual nature. Utilize skill in both written and oral communication.

Requirements

  • Permanent Change of Station (PCS) cost is not authorized.
  • This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station. Travel may be required to attend training, conferences, and other mission requirements.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver's license.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Government driver's license.
  • Duties of this position require heavy lifting of objects weighing up to than 70 pounds with assistance
  • Incumbent must pass a physical examination prior.
