The ideal candidate for this position will work as a member of the Office National Continuity Programs (ONCP) team within FEMA. The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge of continuity policy and programs; experience conducting planning, training, exercise, and evaluation efforts; and strong written and oral communications skills.

Qualifications
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:
Lead planning operational and deliberate planning efforts by developing work, action plans and milestones as well as interpreting and communicating guidance from senior leadership, and
Provide technical assistance and expertise for FEMA's suite of continuity plans; communicating complex ideas and information, organizing content logically and write in a manner that is clear, concise and grammatically correct, and
Conducting outreach to FEMA Components and Regions by providing continuity direction and guidance through a variety of venues to implement various plans, policies, standards and guidance to address preparedness and continuity issues, and
Provide technical assistance, project management and expertise in the formulation and promulgation of national policies, plans and procedures for effective implementation of FEMA's preparedness and continuity program initiatives.
