About the Position: You will serve as a Program Manager (Assistant Program Manager Acquisition) within the Program Executive Office, Combat Support & Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS) at Redstone Arsenal .
Duties
Serve as Assistant Program Manager responsible for managing new systems through advanced development, production and fielding; or
fielded systems undergoing extensive modification, retrofit, or rebuild.
Exercise management control of all functional inputs to the program.
Develop and establish the controls necessary to manage internal operations, matrix support and the support of other command and
agencies.
Maintain a continuous up to date cognizance of all aspects of project(s).
Review and evaluate data relating to short and long term technical management, financial objectives and requirements to keep abreast of
program progress and anticipated problems.
Maintain liaison with appropriate representatives to assure up-to-date awareness of the planning of all actions, to preclude potential slippage
and to maintain projects within cost.
Oversee coordination between assigned program(s) and other systems.
Maintain direct channel communications with system users and the user community.
Attend high level conference and meetings with representatives of DoD, DA, AMC and other commands and agencies, private industry and
foreign countries on matters pertaining to all aspects of assigned programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 25% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for practitioner certification in (A) Program Management within 60 months as of entrance on duty.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based on experience your resume must describe at least one year of specialized- experience at the NH-02 level in the Federal service which includes the ability to:
1. Provide a wide-range of program support to include managing systems through development, production, and fielding; AND
2. Review and evaluate program-related components (such as engineering, procurement, production, budgeting, logistics development, sustainment planning, integrated logistics support, testing, configuration management, product improvement, and fielding) to ensure cost/schedule/performance goals are met; AND
3. Provide technical advice and applies analytical problem solving to internal staff and/or other organizations on program related issues; AND
4. Deliver briefings and provide interface coordination with other agencies regarding program/project status.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent).
