You will serve as a Information Technology (INFOSEC/CUSTSPT) in the Business Department, Systems Support Division of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
Duties
You will apply a wide variety of applications, operating system, protocols, and equipment used in customer organizations.
You will have knowledge of various desktop configurations including hardware, soft, network and operating systems.
You will apply IT concepts, principles, methods and practices to interpret IT policies, standards and guidelines.
You will have comprehensive knowledge of the characteristics of computer hardware and software systems, ensuring hardware and software services.
You will apply methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security tools, procedures, network operations and protocols.
You will apply a wide range of information security policies and protocols further enabling the protection of the entire network infrastructure.
You will communicate written and orally to conduct training, information dissemination, investigations, briefing leadership and writing/updating policies and procedures.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 Technical Support Specialist level 2 within 12 months of appointment.
- This position requires occasional travel.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC/CUSTSUPT) experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates knowledge and skill in providing development, coordination, and implementation of activities and events required to meet network and information technology needs organizational activities. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Apply information technology concepts, principles, methods, and practices sufficient to provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex information technology issues; 2) Provide interpretation of information technology policies, standards, and guidelines to customers in accomplishment of the organizational mission; 3) Apply methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating information technology security tools and procedures; and 4) Utilize a comprehensive knowledge of the characteristics of computer hardware and software systems sufficient to engage comparable systems in use in other agencies and the private sector for accomplishing similar applications.
